Terp pearls are easily the most popular add-on dab accessory. These tiny pearl-like balls improve the functionality of your set up and assist you in achieving low-temperature dabs that preserve terpenes.
What are terp pearls?
Terp pearls – sometimes referred to as dab pearls or terp balls – are essentially little balls that spin around inside the quartz banger when taking a dab. They help to distribute heat and disperse concentrates for big draws. Terp pearls usually come in 4-6mm thickness and are most commonly made of quartz, borosilicate glass, and ruby.
Benefits of using terp pearls
For dabbers looking to take huge and flavorful hits, terp pearls are the answer. This accessory increases the functionality of your set up and technique. It’s easier to achieve lower-temperature dabs with help from terp pearls, and that’s the goal, right? This means no more worrying that the banger will get too cold before all of the oil is vaporized.
It’s the worst when there’s sticky residue left on the bottom of the banger because the oil didn’t get a chance to heat. With terp pearls, you’ll experience less “puddles” and more flavor.
How to use terp pearls
If you’re wondering how to use terp pearls, you’ve come to the right place. Many first-time users wonder if they should put their dab pearls in the banger before or after heating. It all depends on your preference. But, it’s most common to heat the banger with the terp pearls inside. Drop the pearls in, heat your banger, and let it cool to your desired temperature. Load your concentrates, put the carb cap on, and take a hit that sends the terp pearls into motion.
How to clean terp pearls
If you don’t keep your pearls clean, you can risk altering the taste of your dabs or inhibiting their ability to spin. Swab out your banger and the terp pearls inside with a q-tip after every dab. For a deep clean, pop the completely-cooled pearls in an iso soak for about a half-hour.
Will any carb cap work with dab pearls?

Use a Quartz Cyclone Carb Cap to get the Terp Pearls spinning round your banger even faster.
Only certain carb caps can get the terp pearls spinning, so make sure you have a compatible carb cab (like our quartz cyclone cap) for proper function. Our quartz disc cap, glass cyclone caps, and hatter caps work great with the pearls, too.
