Looking to buy a dab rig, but not sure how much it’ll cost you? Have no fear, we’ve got you covered! Depending on the quality of the rig and the artistry involved, a dab rig can cost pretty much anything. Below we’re breaking down the cost of different dab rigs to help you find something you’re sure to love in your price range.

How much do dab rigs cost?

As we briefly mentioned above, dab rigs can cost anywhere from ten bucks to thousands of dollars, but it all comes down to how they were made and what they look like. Every dab rig out there falls into one of three categories: affordable, high-end, or heady. Your most expensive rigs are going to be the heady ones because there’s a lot of artistry involved in making them. On the other hand, affordable rigs tend to be made with lower quality materials and less extravagant designs.

That’s not to say that affordable dab rigs aren’t good or that they should be avoided, though. A no-fuss design can still be a high-quality rig. And on the other hand, a heady or high end dab rig doesn’t necessarily mean it’s good either. It could be more art piece than functional glass. Below we’re diving deeper into some of the nuances between the different levels.

Tiers of quality breakdown

Below we’re breaking down the pros and cons of each price range for dab rigs.

Affordable Dab Rigs

Affordable dab rigs are on the cheapest end of the spectrum ranging from around ten bucks to $50. But don’t let that discourage you from exploring them! A lot of their pricing comes from their no-fuss design without things like percolators or stuff you just plain don’t need. They’re also priced low for their size. Smaller dab rigs are much cheaper to make, so just because glass is cheaply made doesn’t mean that they’re poorly made. While there might be a lot of junk in this price range, there are still a lot of hidden gems out there, many of which you can find on our website.

High-End Dab Rigs

If you’ve been dabbing for a while and want to upgrade your setup, you might want to try a high-end dab rig. These rigs range from $60 to about $200 and feature improved craftsmanship, performance, and design over their affordable counterparts. While they tend to also be on the smaller side to preserve the flavors of your favorite concentrates, they may also come with smoke diffusers to help cool your vapor. They’re typically also made only with heavy-duty borosillicate glass and feature sturdy welds that are sure to stand up in pressure. High-end dab rigs perform better than their affordable counterparts.

Heady Dab Rigs

Heady dab rigs are the most expensive by far and can cost anywhere from $300 to thousands of dollars. The reason being is that they bring artistry to the equation. Many heady dab rigs are functional works of art made by individual glass artists, meaning that these pieces are usually one of a kind. The trade off with these things is that they’re crazy expensive and tend to be very fragile and delicate. They also err on the side of difficult to clean. Some heady rigs are perfect in both form and function, but look cool to boot while others are nearly impossible to dab from comfortably. That said, if aesthetics aren’t that important to you, you’re better off with an affordable or high-end rig. If you care a lot about how your rig looks, you’re going to be paying a little bit more.

So how much does each type of dab rig cost?

If you’re still wondering “how much are dab rigs, then?”— below you’ll find a few price ranges based on each categories overall value.

Affordable dab rigs — $10 to $50

  • Opt for an affordable dab rig if you’re still new to dabbing or just dipping your toe into the culture. They’re still functional, but they’re often more affordable because they’re small and don’t come with a ton of bells and whistles you don’t really need.

High end dab rigs — $60 to $200

  • A high end dab rig is higher priced because they tend to be more symmetrical and functional than others. They tend to be larger with a few additional features that improve the overall experience of your dabs. However, their design isn’t usually all that remarkable. While the functionality and the form is there, the artistry tends to be lacking.

Heady dab rigs — $300 to thousands of dollars

  • Heady rigs are designed by individual glass artists, so you know you’ll be the only one with a particular design that’s truly one of a kind. Since they’re made by glass artists, they usually function supremely well, though you should be careful with them. Some heady glass pieces are more for the artistry and may be difficult to clean or easy to break.
